Sunnyside Children & Family Ministry Welcomes You!
Relax! SUnnyside is a place where all are warmly welcomed! Wiggles, giggles, fusses and even cries are all part of the joy around here. We want kids and babies as well as parents and caregivers to feel right at home. So sing along and clap if you’d like to – the kids will jump right in with you!
Valuing our Children
Helpful info for visiting families
Restrooms – A family restroom is available for any and all people to use on the main level, down the hallway, past the nursery.
Feeding and Changing – There are rocking chairs and diaper changing stations in both the family restroom and the nursery. The library side of the nursery can be closed off for privacy.
Children in Worship – Sunnyside’s children are invited to experience the fullness of worship. We are committed to including them as full, active, valued participants. We demonstrate this each Sunday as the children have the important role of bringing the bread and the cup up to the altar during our worship service.
Child Contact Forms – Please fill out a Child Contact Form for your family group and give it to the Nursery Staff or to the Sunday School Teacher. If you’ve got kids attending both places, you’ll want to fill out 2 copies of that form, one for each spot. These are used in case of emergency.
Safety – Sunnyside is committed to being a "SafePlace" for our children. Adult staff and volunteers are required to submit references, a background check and complete an interview before serving and serve 2 or more at a time.
