FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
While the conference tries to make camps accessible it is an expensive endeavor and so the church wants to provide scholarships to assist families in sending their children.

f you do not have a child in camp but desire for a child to experience the love and grace and fun of Christ at our camps this summer please consider making a generous donation to our camp scholarship fund and perhaps even sponsoring a child in full to attend the summer.

LIFE-IMPACTING MINISTRY
From Pastor Matt: One of the most wonderful and life-impacting ministries organized by the United Methodist Church in Michigan is our Christian camping network. We have several beautiful campsites around the state with week-long and partial week camps all summer long for kids of all ages. As the pastor of this congregation, I can attest that in all of my life growing up in the church, camp has had the most profound impact on my spiritual life. Since I began attending in third grade, I have not missed a summer. I have continued to serve in my adult years as a counselor, teacher and leader and find great joy in the opportunity to serve on a high school camp staff with several members of our church!
If you desire to send your child to camp this summer, and I hope you do, please go online to umcamping.org to determine which week would work best for your family – and if you need some guidance, please contact Pastor Matt or Deacon Cara. Perhaps those of us with kids around the can send our kids together the same week!
